2009 – Served as Honorary (non voting) member of the Board of Directors.
Veterinarian and owner of Steeplechase Veterinarian practice.

Comments: On Tonya’s experience with animals:

On Tonya’s experience with nonprofit work and The Humane Society of Forsyth County: Tonya is currently fostering Grey Bear, the kitten, at her clinic and has cared for him for several months. On several occasions Tonya has volunteered her time by visiting the shelter and consulting on issues pertaining to the care of the animals in our program. All of Tonya’s contributions make her a wonderful addition to the Humane Society of Forsyth County and an excellent consideration for the Board of Directors.

Please Note:It is unlawful to leave an animal at the steps of our adoption center. As you know, the Humane Society of Forsyth County is a No Kill shelter and we want to help all dogs and cats in need. It is imperative that you contact our office at 770-887-6480 to seek guidance regarding our intake policy. Thank you.

February 5 - Dog Adoptions at Petco Milton (Hwy 9 N of Windward), 12-4pm (CANCELED)

February 6 - I Adopted a Dog, Now What? free workshop for all HSFC dog adopters, 7pm

February 23 - Volunteer Orientation on Thursday at HSFC Thrift Store: 168 Tri-County Plaza, Cumming 7:00pm (map). (Please complete our Volunteer Application prior to attending!)
