Here at the Humane Society of Forsyth County, we are held under the Georgia Law to sterilize all animals that come in and subsequently get adopted or fostered through our shelter. That expense is passed on through the adoption fees.

1.b Spay and Neuter Fund
We recognize the importance of stopping the overpopulation of dogs and cats and offer the indigent and the needy a free spay and neuter service. We would rather see a dog or cat sterilized than have to make room for numerous puppies and kittens when there are so many to take care of right now.  We are pleading with you to assist in helping to control pet overpopulation.  Please also consider how helpful your donation would be for those less fortunate. Thank you.

Our Dog Rehabilitation Fund sets aside money to help our long term shelter dogs who are unable to be placed into homes because of behavior issues.  Please consider donating toward the care of these special dogs.  Every animal is precious to us.  Before these sweet animals can be adopted, they need additional medical care or behavioral rehabilitation.

1.e Special Needs Medical Fund
Our Special Needs Medical Fund raises money for medical care that would otherwise be too expensive for us.  It is not intended for the routine or ongoing supportive medical care we are already committed to provide.  This fund is used for animals with conditions that can be cured or significantly improved, and without which the animal is deemed inadoptable.
