Humane Society of Forsyth County (HSFC) is proud to partner with Pets for Patriots to help veterans in our community more affordably adopt companion dogs and cats.

The Pets for Patriots program is a nonprofit initiative that helps military veterans by providing them with the opportunity to adopt a pet, typically from a shelter or rescue organization. The goal is to improve the mental health and well-being of veterans by offering the companionship and emotional support that a pet can provide.

Potential Adopters

1. You will be asked for your official Pets for Patriots member welcome letter. Please note – even though you are approved by Pets for Patriots, you must still complete our Adoption Application and be approved by our Adoption Team.

2. While not required, you will be asked if we can take a photo of you and your pet to help us celebrate another successful adoption.

HSFC ADOPTION FEE: SPONSORED/WAIVED FEE ($0 FOR ADOPTER).

** Pets must meet the Pets for Patriots program criteria to be eligible for sponsored or waived adoption fees.
