Animal Intake
The Humane Society of Forsyth County provides a service by taking in needy animals across North Georgia and provides for them while finding them a new home. As a “No-Kill” shelter, the Humane Society of Forsyth County will NEVER euthanize an animal to control the number of animals at our facility. Therefore, we can only accept the intake of animals as our capacity and resources allow. We accomplish this via a selective admission process that determines the physical and mental health of the animal.

Pet Food Pantry – The Humane Society of Forsyth County (HSFC)’s Community Pet Food Pantry helps support local families in need by providing free pet food for their loving pets. It is our goal to ensure that no animals are surrendered to local shelters because their guardians cannot afford to feed them.

Humane Hearts
Humane Hearts therapy animals are owned by people who want to volunteer to enrich the lives of special groups within our community. The role of a therapy animal is to work as a team with their handler to provide emotional and physical support to all people. Volunteering with a Humane Hearts Therapy Pet allows the pet to provide unconditional love to people of all ages.
